Product Code OSM991

Extremely rare black (matt finish) Plastic Handbag produced circa 1963/64 in England by Ramat & Co Ltd of London. Famous Dezo Hoffman B/W picture of the Beatles under clear overlaid plastic on the front. The picture is loose and moves under the plastic. Gold coloured metal trim around the opening, strap clasps and two catch clasps. The clasps are round with small finials which are rarer than the typical larger clasps (see pictures of more common handbags above). Normally red in colour this has a rarer beige/light brown nylon interior lining (see pictures of more common handbags above) with one inside pocket and Ramat & Co label attached near the top. The lining has had heavy use with some minor snagging, discolouring, small rust marks/dots (some of the smaller dots have caused small holes to form in the lining) and a small sewn repair to a seam (approx 2" long). It is however complete and firmly attached to the interior.
Measures approx 11" (top) tapering to 12" (bottom) wide x "(top) tapering to 1 (bottom).
Quite a lot of overall tarnishing to the gold metal trim. Some isolated superficial marks and wear to the black and overlaid clear plastic with a red powdery substance (possibly old dry cosmetic) in and around the outside side seams. However all the plastic sewn seams are solid and secure to the back, front, both sides, top and bottom and have no splits or tears.
The metal catch clasps and side hinges open and close in perfectly good order. The thin plastic strap is fully attached to the gold coloured metal rings on either side at the top, but has wear with some of the stitching missing along its length.
Not perfect with some issues but extremely rare. We have never seen another in this particular design. Overall in Fair/Good Condition

In EX/NM Condition.
Tripod: Fully working and connected to the screw fixed plastic central block. One of the plastic lugs on the end of a tripod leg has slight damage, but it still fits to the drum allowing it to stand and play perfectly well (see big pictures). In EX/EX Condition.
