Product Code OSM969

Original Boxed Set of four Drinking Glasses produced in England circa 1963/64 by Joseph Lang & Company of London.

Glasses  PRISTINE MINT!!! Almost certainly unused. The colour transfers of the Beatles images and more importantly the gold rims are perfect with absolutely no fading, wear or loss of colour.

Box  Measures approx 15.5" long x 6.25" wide x 3" deep. Fair to Good condition. Guaranteed original 1960s (beware of modern day reproductions). There is wear & tear, discolouration and staining throughout. It was originally white, but has discoloured to an off white light brown/yellow throughout, caused by a combination of natural ageing, foxing, staining, damp and water. Some of the blue ink in the word 'Beatles' on the hinged lid of the box has faded and slightly run into the white surface. The hinged lid opens and stands up behind the glasses for display, and  is completely attached to the main body.  The box is completely intact with all parts and flaps firmly attached. The inner tray (which sits loose inside the box) with flaps to hold the glasses firmly in place is complete and, apart from a small stained area, has in the main retained the original white colour.  There are several very small indentations/holes on the surfaces of the box (which is corrugated card), but none go right through to the other side. The extreme edges of the lid have some lifting and curling of the white surface from the corrugation beneath. The only splits are to the two short edges/seams on the front of the box (left and right), but are mainly to the top white surface and not to the corrugation beneath. The exception is a very small (approx 10mm) split on the left edge at the very top. The original shop retail price of 14/6 (fourteen shillings and sixpence) is written in blue ballpoint on the bottom of the box, so not cheap when originally purchased if you consider that the typical entrance fee to a Beatles concert in the UK around this time was about 7/6 to 10/-

Product Code OSM865

Beatles 'New Sound' plastic toy guitar produced in Enfland by Selcol circa 1963/64. Complete with its original ultra rare corrugated backing card, leaflet and plectrum.

BACKING CARD - Measuring approx 23" long x 8" wide it is in Excellent Condition, retaining its original 1960s vibrant purple background with yellow and white text. There is some mild surface grubbiness caused mainly by dust in storage, which is particularly noticeable on the white and yellow areas. A few small mild dings in isolated areas to the extreme corners and edges but so few and minor that they are virtually negligible. There are no tears, creases or marks to either the front or back apart from the residue of two short tape marks.

GUITAR - Measuring approx 22.5" long x 8" wide x 2" deep it is in Excellent Condition, with all original four metal pegs and coloured plastic strings (two green, one blue and one red). It is missing the end paper label. Hardly ever played as evidenced by just superficial mild surface scratches and scuffs in isolated areas which are virtually negligible. There are no cracks or deep scratches or heavy wear.

BOOKLET - Measuring approx 6.5" x 4.25" it is in Excellent Condition. The eight page guide offers instruction, advice, chords and song charts for the new owner. Some tape stains on the front cover where it held the plectrum in place and was probably taped to the guitar. Some foxing and discolouration, but no tears or creases to either the covers or inside pages. The spine has no tears, splits or rubbing and the staple is rust free and firmly attached to the covers and inside pages.

PLECTRUM - Perfect apart from mild tape residue on one side.

Product Code OSM992

Make-A-Date Calendar produced in England circa 1963/64 in hardly used NM Condition. Stands on a hinged white plastic easel on the back and is fully operational with all four plastic dials on the back freely turning the changeable dates set within the picture on the front which is under clear glass. The white plastic trim is pristine throughout. The coloured Beatles picture is in pristine condition with no discolouration, fading, marks or foxing etc. The only very minor detraction that prevents it from being in NM+ condition is that the stiff card backing has some mild cosmetic surface stains and watermarks in a few isolated areas.
